Polinaiducheruvu village (Rayalaseema Colony), Buchireddypalem, Nellore,Andhra Pradesh is a community with a significant number of school-going children enrolled in government schools. While the schools are making strides in providing basic education, there are challenges related to academic performance, infrastructure, and socioeconomic factors that impact the overall educational experience. Addressing these issues through targeted interventions like evening classes, community engagement, and improved resources could significantly enhance educational outcomes for the children in this area.

The primary beneficiaries of this project are students from government schools, particularly those who need additional academic support or come from underserved communities. The project will also engage teachers, parents, and the local community to create a supportive learning environment.

The three days (February 6th, 7th, and 8th) and (March, 5th,6th and 7th ) CAA training was packed with valuable insights on Insurance industry in both Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad. The sessions began with an engaging discussion on Insurance, financial independency and money management led by CAA Team. They provided key information on the importance of general insurance how insurance policies can serve as a safety net during emergencies and more.
It was truly heartening to see the regularity of the participants all with a clear goal of becoming Insurance Advisors. Many shared their experiences from the training expressing how they felt this was an excellent opportunity provided by Bajaj Finserv CSR initiative. The participants were enthusiastic about the program and its potential to impact their careers.
Around 85 young women from different industries like NGOs along with Visakha Government Degree College for Women attended this Career Agents Academy (CAA) CSR initiative organized by the Bajaj Group in coordination with the Rural Upliftment Foundation. The initiative gave the women a clearer and deeper understanding of the insurance industry along with potential career opportunities in the sector all with no investment.
Insurance is a sector that deserves more attention and its rapid growth presents countless opportunities for young people and Grassroots NGO’s and their staff who want to shape their careers in this field.
Executing various activities under ONGC-CSR Activities for Youth and Children in 2024-25
Rural Upliftment Foundation with the generous support of ONGC under its CSR initiatives has undertaken a series of impactful activities in 2024–25 aimed at enhancing the quality of life, health and educational access for women, youth and children in underserved communities.
As part of this initiative, the Foundation implemented infrastructure and resource-based support for students at the SC Boys Hostel, which included:
Installation of RO Plants to ensure access to clean drinking water for 3 (Boys and Girls) hostels in Kakinada,Andhra Pradesh.
Provision of essential appliances such as a 246 L Refrigerator, 1200mm Ceiling Fans, 10L Wet Grinder, 20L Pressure Cooker, and an Idly Cooker (108 capacity) to improve hostel kitchen facilities in Kakinada,Andhra Pradesh.
Distribution of 45mm Mattresses to improve sleeping conditions in Kakinada,Andhra Pradesh.
Distribution of Bicycles to support mobility for school-going children in remote areas in Kakinada,Andhra Pradesh.
These interventions have significantly improved the daily living conditions and educational environment for marginalized youth aligning with ONGC's vision of inclusive development and community empowerment.
